    Parasite or symbiote? It eats the tongue, but then functions as the fish's tongue thereafter.

    Definately Parasite. How on earth can in function as a fish's tongue? It just sits there and waits for food.

    I doubt that it can provide the function of taste and feed that back to the fish.
